Hostess Potato Chips

Frito-Lay rebranded most Hostess products under the Lay’s banner as part of a global strategy. This was due to declining brand popularity, increased competition from “premium” brands (e.g., Miss Vickie’s, kettle chips), and house brands. The standalone Hostess name largely disappeared, with many varieties transitioning to Lay’s packaging. Some legacy items like Hickory Sticks kept the Hostess name longer, and ketchup chips lived on under Lay’s.
